Though the Health Care stocks, as measured by the MSCI Health Care Index, experienced a significant decline during the quarter, in line with the general market. The United Global Health Care Fund’s second quarter 2002 return was well ahead of the benchmark return. Longer-term comparisons remain favorable, and the health care sector should outperform other sectors of the economy in the current climate of uncertainty.
