Manager overview

CIMB-Principal Asset Management (S) Pte. Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of CIMB-Principal Asset Management Berhad, was incorporated in Singapore in 2006. It offers both Islamic and conventional fund management services. The company has recently introduced retail funds namely CIMB-Principal Asia Pacific Dynamic Income Fund and CIMB-Principal ASEAN Total Return Fund; marking the expansion of unit trust fund offerings under the ASEAN Collective Investment Scheme (CIS).

The company also provides investment management expertise for ASEAN and Asia Pacific ex-Japan equity portfolios. It is the manager for the CIMB FTSE ASEAN 40 Exchange Traded Fund, the first ASEAN ETF in the world and CIMB S&P Ethical Asia Pacific ex-Japan Dividend ETF, the first ethical Asia-Pacific ETF listed on Singapore Exchange.

CIMB-Principal Asset Management (S) Pte. Ltd. is a licensed fund manager regulated by the Monetary Authority of Singapore. It is jointly owned by CIMB Group, one of Southeast Asia’s leading universal banking groups; and The Principal Financial Group, U.S.A., a NYSE-listed global financial service company and a leading Fortune 500 company.
